KINGSPAN WALL CLADDING DILAPIDATION WORKS IN MILTON KEYNES

Coverclad Services were contracted to carry out Kingspan wall cladding dilapidation works in Milton Keynes, to a warehouse unit. The previous tenant had added a loading bay extension and the landlord wanted it removed and the unit reinstated.

Our tasks were to first remove Kingspan panels and galvanised rails from two sides of the extension (storing on-site) before it was stripped down by a demolition contractor. Once the extension was taken down, we then recycled and re-used the panels and rails to close the opening to the warehouse unit.

As Kingspan approved contractors, we also supplied and fixed new Kingspan rails and a tubular and angle sag brace system, and allowed for new cleats and extension plates where required to suit the sections. Plus, we supplied and replaced two damaged Kingspan micro-rib preformed mitred corner panels to the rear elevation.

The last two recycled Kingspan wall cladding panel sections have been fitted together with metal corner flashing and base sill to close the opening, and the damaged Kingspan micro-rib preformed corners have been replaced with new. One of our operatives is checking fixings from the scissor lift.
