KINGSPAN WALL CLADDING AND INDUSTRIAL ROOFING IN DUDLEY
Coverclad Services was contracted to install Kingspan wall cladding and industrial roofing in Dudley, directly on behalf of a metal fabrication business. The client had just purchased the unit which was in need of an overall refurbishment.
Our job description was to supply and fix Kingspan MR1000 composite panels (in metallic finish) with associated flashings over the existing cladding to the front elevation, and to supply and fix Uniclad 34/1000 profile 0.7mm plastisol coated single skin skin metal roof sheets (in goosewing grey) over the existing roof using a built-up system (to suit existing layout). New Class 3 rooflights and an HD Sharman Plygene Gutter Liner also formed part of the works, which spanned 5 to 6 weeks in total.

These new GRP rooflights replaced the originals to form new internals as part of the built-up overclad system. Another set of Class 3 GRP rooflights were installed to form the external skin, essentially creating an inner rooflight and outer rooflight with void in between.

Roofing overclad complete with outer-skin and new ridge flashing fully stitched down. Flashings were also fitted to the eaves and verges, and poppy red fixings were used to fix the new Class 3 GRP rooflights into position. The contrast between this new industrial roof and the older neighbouring roof can clearly be seen.
