ASBESTOS STRIP OFF AND NEW KINGSPAN ROOFING IN WEST BROMWICH

Coverclad Services were contracted to strip off an existing asbestos roof and to supply and install Kingspan roofing in West Bromwich, near Birmingham, for a company that specialises in scales and weighing equipment. The old asbestos roof was leaking and the investment into Kingspan composite roofing also aided to the asset management of the building.

Our tasks were to strip off the existing asbestos roof sheets and guttering (disposing from site), and to install new Kingspan RW1000 composite panels to the 900 square metre roof, together with roof lights, weather flashings, metal trimline gutter and 3 UPVC downpipes. The client wanted to stay operational throughout, so we had to phase our works and strip and re-clad sections on the same day to keep the unit weatherproof.
